Gender Analysis Training Workshops for Decision Makers in the (3) Districts of Uganda (Kabale,  Tororo and Mukono) The study "Needs Assessment for Gender and Economic Decision Making",  indicated the need by policy makers, and implementers to acquire skills and tools, which can  help them to practically apply gender analysis in the day-to-day policy and programme activities.  To address these constraints, CEEWA-U designed a training program entitled 'Integrating Gender  into development planning'.

Gender analysis training for the NAADS core teams in the districts of Soroti and Mukono The  Gender Alliance on the NAADS, Gender Alliance Network (GAN), together with the NAADS  Secretariat to consider:
   Gender as a development concern
   Introduction to gender analysis
   Access and control of resources
An overview of the NAADS Programme
A gender analysis of the NAADS Programme

 Engendering Micro Finance Services
CEEWA-U has been actively involved in the training of micro-finance institutions in gender issues.  A training manual entitled 'Engendering Micro Finance Services' was developed to equip micro  finance practitioners with gender analytical skills for integration in their programmes.

Entrepreneurship Development through the use of ICTs
Through a Women's Resource Electronic Service (WIRES), CEEWA-U, on a pilot basis in  collaboration with other institutions collects, repackages into simple user-friendly business related  information and disseminates it to women entrepreneurs. Information includes among others  markets, prices, credit sources, business opportunities, trade support services and business  advisory services.

Through a linkage collaborative initiative, business entrepreneurship is enhanced by organizing  30 min to 1hour sessions with technical experts in fields required by entrepreneurs. In these  sessions, the experts impart skills to improve business performance. Technical knowledge so far  demanded includes good animal husbandry practices, agriculture extension services and agro- production. This knowledge sharing and skills acquisition sessions have helped women  entrepreneurs to improve their business performance and increasing their income base.
